Discovery - I am A SHOPAHOLIC!

Well there!
I take pride in the fact that clothes are my forte! Wearing, coordinating and looking good!
I have decided not to gloat about the fact that I am, in fact shopping too much!
And so the story goes de da de da de.
In the past 4 months, I have changed in a way I never thought was possible.
realization hitting me so hard, that I almost knocked over, knees shaking, I stood up and made decisions that have been good for me!
Realisation # 1 Moving to Hyderabad is one such decision, the super fast pace of Bangalore was getting to me and so I decided to slow things down and concentrate on work!

Realisation # 2 life is too short to stress about the past, giving up my friends is not worth is, made amends, kept in touch and then continue communicating.

Realisation # 3 I am situationally passive with aggressive people, decided to be more assertive.

Realisation # 4 I am a Shopaholic ;)

Realisation # 5 I am not active listener, I need to listen more carefully now.

Realisation # 6 I have too many thoughts going on in my head, learning to relax.

and thats that for now.

Its been an overwhelming and interesting discovery since I moved into my new role.

Went to Masinagudi for a weekend and thought I would have a memorable time. I did have a memorable time, but not as I had hoped.
And as usual, Yes I scored a goal in my favorite sport at Jungle retreat too!
I bought a green safari top ( outta compulsion as I was running out of clothes!)
And a red jacket from Ooty.
Loads of chocolates.
Marshmallows for Trisha and Aryan
.
This in fact taught me that I should never expect too much. So I have decided to curtail my list; of the dream Knight, because I thought I found him, but then again lost him to The Same Game!

I am writing a song:
Gonna call it ‘The Same Game’

You had your chance, I was prepared, and then you went and played other stakes.
Lost was I in my world, embarking on a different route,
Every time I am with you I tend to look back on what we could.

Contemplating if I am a Shopaholic (15)

Contemplating if I am a Shopaholic (15)

Well, I was in the Twin Cities of India, this weekend, for Lavanya's wedding.
Well the first day was at Char Minar, we shopped for bangles and mehendi (the detailed list is below).
We went to Paradise Persis for lunch and had succulent mutton Biryani.

Went back home then to Firangi Paani for the bachelor party.
The next day was haldi at Lavanya’s house, we had a traditional Telegu lunch on Thali’s.
Then was the best day of all!! SHOPPING!!!!
Following Saturday was the wedding, met mah old colleagues from IBM.
Then back to the grind to work, fortunately for lots of people including me, there is a state wise Bandh owing to the Cauvery water dispute. So more so its sleep-and-watch-movie day!

From Char Minar:

  • Bangles:
    Glittery silver glass ones.
    purple and green metal ones.
    one pink clay bangle.
    Black glass ones.
  • One Maang Tika, gold with diamantes for Trisha.
  • Some famous Karachi mehendi.

Went to Naampally, to the Karachi Bakery bought the famous biscuitsthen went to Meena Bazaar, Abids:

  • Earring one cube crystal hanging earrings.
  • One stud crystal pair.
  • Silver slippers.
  • Kolapuri slippers for Aryan.

From Hyderabad Central.

  • A black sling bag from Provogue.
  • A red off-shoulder top from Honey.
  • A wine coloured silk top from Honey.
  • A brown and Pink layered top from Honey.
  • A white and gold striped Baggit belt.
  • A printed top from Jealous.
  • An Akriti skirt, beige crushed with a printed layer below.

The last two were gifts.

I had a great time chatting up the auto drivers in Hyderabad who unlike Bangalore are not attitude ridden, they don’t try to con you, or take you for a ride (pun intended) on the contrary they are rather sweet and willing to help.

Contemplating if I am a Shopaholic (14)

This weekend was at Gokarna!
Awesome place with a breathtaking view of the sunset!
And yes I did shop there!
Apart from shopping we had an unforgettable time at Gokarna.

OM Beach was not too crowded, that accounted for most of the fun we had. (without being overtly conscious of the leers that we would have otherwise got!)

The boat ride to Half Moon beach and Paradise beach was an exhilarating experience.

Then there was dinner at the shacks on Om Beach: Grilled buttered and garlic prawns with Salad and Chips.

Then of course was the shopping!! [:)]
here's the list:

  • A black with pink flowers halter backless top!
  • Two Spaghettis in pink and Orange.
  • One Blue printed top.
  • One blue and green striped top.
  • A pink and orange striped top.
  • Pink 3/4 quolots.
